GATA2 is a member of GATA family of transcription factors that contains zinc fingers in DNA binding domain. GATA2 acts as a transcriptinal activator that regulates endothelin-1 expression in endothelial cells. plays an essential role in regulating transcription of genes involved in the development and proliferation of hematopoietic and endocrine cell lineages.
