TRAF3 is a member of the TNF receptor associated factor (TRAF) protein family. TRAF proteins associate with, and mediate the signal transduction from, members of the TNF receptor (TNFR) superfamily. TRAF3 regulates pathways leading to the activation of NF-kappa-B and MAP kinases, and plays a central role in the regulation of innate immune response.
