SNRP70 is an RNA binding protein that is a specific component of the U1 ribonucleoprotein complex and constitutes the main anti-(U1) RNP autoimmune antigen. SNRP70 participates in mRNA splicing and regulates RNA splicing through spliceosomes, and is part of the U1 snRNP and spliceosome complex. SNRP70 is associated with mental health disorders and systemic lupus erythematosus, and is a biomarker for Alzheimer's disease.
