Hepatocellular nuclear factor-1 β (HNF1B), also known as transcription factor-2 (TCF2), is a member of the transcription factor superfamily containing homologous domains. It is a transcription factor that may bind to the reverse palindrome 5 '- GTATATAAC-3' and serve as a bookmark factor for rapidly transcribing and reactivating target genes after mitosis. HNF1B may bind to FPC elements in the cAMP regulatory unit of PLAU gene. The co activator PCBD1 can increase transcriptional activity.
